Healing is an innate process — your body holds the wisdom to heal itself when given the right environment, energy and frequencies.

Offerings in Detail

  • Reiki is a Japanese word made of two parts, “Rei” and “Ki”.  The word “Rei” refers to universal mind or higher consciousness, and the word “Ki” refers to life force energy or biofield.  The word biofield is simply the more medically acceptable definition of the term aura.

Reiki is a technique designed to promote stress reduction, relaxation, and healing.  Reiki sessions are aimed at enhancing vital energy, helping to restore harmony, and promoting the healing within the body, mind, and spirit.

At the simplest level, energy is simply information that moves or vibrates.  There’s a demarcation into different basic types of energy.  There is physical energy, which is more measurable, and we live in and typically interact with physical energies in a knowing way.

Subtle energy, however, is unseen by the naked eye.  Subtle energy is 99.999% of a person or an object and it is essentially the same concept as life force energy which refers to a vital, unseen energy that animates living beings, often described in spiritual traditions as “prana” or “qi” and considered to flow through the body along specific channels.  It’s the energy that gives life its vitality, beyond the physical realm.  All living things have life force energy within them.

Energy is everything.  When you think of the energy between yourself and a friend, the energy of children, or the energy at a concert, everything, including our voices, what we think, and who we are, has an energy signature or energy field.

Is there any proof that these energy fields exist?  Yes, there is.  When you take a raw MRI scan, it’s picking up the flow of energy inside the body but, also, outside the body.  In a raw or untouched MRI, the image captured depicts an aura or energy outside the body.  However, the computer then draws an edge to the body and removes anything outside that edge, leaving only the body itself and the images within.  This is the MRI (image) that is then looked at by a doctor and or nurse.

While MRIs are not the only proof, in 1949, a Russian inventor named Semyon Kirlion, discovered he could collect bioelectric discharges, which is also called corona discharges from the human body, other animals, and plants.

Today, some modern and diagnostic tools use a similar approach to read a person’s aura to determine health.

I simply create a safe space and environment for others to heal themselves.  I guide others to a place where healing can take place on their own.  I am simply a conduit.

The client will lie comfortably on a therapy table and fully clothed.  As I slightly hover my hands over specific areas of the head, limbs, and torso using different hand shapes, the flow of energy takes place.

The healing effects are mediated by channeling the universal energy known as “qi,” pronounced “chi.”  In India, this is known as “prana.”  This is the same energy involved in Tai Chi exercise.  It is the life force energy that surrounds all of us

Reiki aids in relaxation, assists in the body’s natural healing processes, and develops emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.  It can also induce deep relaxation, help people cope with difficulties, relieve emotional stress, help with depression, and improve overall wellbeing.

“Matter is Energy … Energy is Light … We are all Light Beings.”

    – Albert Einstein

  • Did you know that, in the Hawaiian language, the word “Aloha” has many meanings?  In the Western culture view, it is often understood to mean simply “hello,” “goodbye,” and “love.”  But, in the Hawaiian culture, it has a much deeper understanding or meaning.  The word “Alo” translates to “in the presence” and the word “ha” is the “breath of life.”

In traditional Hawaiian and other cultures, a greeting involves sharing "ha" (breath) by pressing foreheads and noses together while inhaling simultaneously. Hawaiians view breath as a source of “mana” (spiritual power), making this exchange sacred and deeply meaningful.

I will guide you through a series of breath exercises.  The healing effects of Breathwork can include a reduction in stress, anxiety, grief, and depression, as well as an increase in overall happiness and peace, improve mental clarity, relief from traumas, boost energy, help free negative thoughts, and so much more.  The “mana” harnessed within your own breath is powerful beyond measure.

“The mind is the king of the body, but the breath is the king of the mind.”

    - Iyengar

  • Quantum physics has proven that we live in a vibrational universe.  Everything is vibration.  The chair we sit in is vibration.  Similarly, the table, a cup, and other objects are vibration.  Their molecules have slowed down vibrationally to create matter.  “We” are vibration and energy medicine is a practice, a system, and a way of looking at the universe of vibration.  Everything is energy.

Sound Healing is one of the most ancient of Earth’s healing traditions, going back thousands of years.  5,000 years ago, the Australian Aborigines played a didgeridoo to help heal broken bones and torn tendons.  In Persia and in ancient Greece, drums, rattles, the flute, and the lyre were used.  In ancient Egypt, strictly using vowel sounds was part of their sacred healing art.  And, of course, in all cultures and world religions, chants and mantras have been used to shift frequency, train brainwaves, and create uplifting healing vibrations for thousands of years.

The body hears through resonance, and it looks to attract the resonance required in that moment for peace and tranquility and for order and harmony because that is the nature of life.

Like other energy healing modalities, Sound Healing can raise a person’s vibration and help clear stagnant and negative energy.  We all have the ability to tap into our own nervous system, as well as our mental and emotional systems, through higher frequencies in sound.

By utilizing the sounds of authentic Tibetan Brass Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Handheld Crystal Bowls, Koshi Chimes, and other various sound healing instruments, I simply provide for you the vibrational frequency in sound and space that your body looks to attract.

  • Sound Healing combined with Meditation, a powerful duality.  With the description and benefits of Sound Healing mentioned above.  Let’s now dive into the explanation and benefits of Meditation.

Meditation offers a wide range of physical and mental health benefits, including stress and anxiety reduction, improved focus, and enhanced emotional regulation. It can also positively impact sleep, cognitive function, and overall well-being.

    Specific benefits include:

    Stress and anxiety reduction:

Meditation can help calm the mind and body, reducing the production of stress hormones and improving emotional regulation.

    Improved focus and concentration:

Regular practice can enhance attention span and the ability to concentrate, leading to better cognitive performance.

    Enhanced emotional regulation:

Meditation can help individuals become more self-aware and manage their emotions more effectively, reducing negative feelings and increasing compassion.

    Improved sleep:

Meditation can help regulate sleep-wake cycles, promoting restful sleep and reducing sleep problems.

    Enhanced cognitive function:

Studies suggest that meditation can improve memory, focus, and cognitive abilities.

    Pain management:

Meditation can help reduce pain perception and improve emotional tolerance to pain.

    Lowered blood pressure:

Meditation can help lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.

    Strengthened immune system:

Some research suggests that meditation can enhance immune function.

    Increased compassion and self-awareness:

Meditation can foster a greater understanding of oneself and others, leading to increased compassion and a more positive outlook.

    According to the Cleveland Clinic:

    What exactly does meditation do?

In general, people who meditate are more likely to see the following benefits:

    • Decreased symptoms of anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

    • Improved ability to think, concentrate and solve problems.

    • Better ability to adapt to and overcome emotional problems

    • Because mental health has a strong impact on the health of your body, those benefits also often bring improvements in how well you sleep, high blood pressure and heart function, and much more.

    Why does meditation work?

Thanks to advances in technology, researchers and healthcare providers can see how meditation affects your brain.  However, to understand some of these changes, it helps to know a little about brain structure.

In your brain, you have billions of neurons, which are cells that use electrical and chemical signals to send signals to each other.  One neuron connects to thousands of others, which is how your neurons form networks across different parts of your brain.  Those networks form different areas of your brain, which have different jobs and specialties.

Multiple research studies have found that people who meditate regularly have certain differences in their brain structure.  Those changes usually involve brain tissue that’s denser or certain areas of the brain that are larger than expected, which is a sign that the neurons there have more connections to each other, and the connections are stronger.

The affected areas of the brain are usually those that manage or control your senses (vision, hearing, etc.), your ability to think and concentrate, and your ability to process emotions.  That means the brains of people who meditate regularly are healthier and less likely to show age-related loss of function.  They also have a stronger ability to deal with and process negative emotions like fear, anger and grief.

  • What is Yin Yoga?  This is a common question asked by many. Answers such as “It is the balancing practice for your yang style of yoga” or “It is yoga for the joints, not the muscles” are not overly satisfying answers.  If people haven’t heard of Yin Yoga, then they most likely won’t know what a yang style of yoga is.  In addition, isn’t all yoga good for the whole body, including our joints?

To really answer the question and to get to know Yin Yoga, it requires a further explanation. This part of our journey provides a deeper look into Yin Yoga and it begins with an explanation of what it is, how it evolved, and its benefits for the whole body and mind.

Yin Yoga directs the stimulation normally created in the asana (physical posture) portion of the practice into something deeper than just the superficial or muscular tissues (which we are calling the yang tissues).  Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the fascia, ligaments, bones, and the joints of the body.  It improves flexibility, range of motion, and circulation.

Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga and other forms of exercise that (1) emphasize internal heat, and (2) the lengthening and contracting of our muscles.

    Physical, Mental, and Emotional Benefits

Increased Flexibility and Joint Mobility: Yin Yoga poses are held for longer periods (3-5 minutes), allowing for a deeper stretch of the connective tissues (fascia, ligaments, tendons) that surround joints, leading to improved flexibility and joint mobility.

Improved Circulation: The long-held poses and focused breathing in Yin Yoga can increase blood flow to the muscles and tissues, aiding in detoxification and cell regeneration, which supports healing and recovery.

Pain Relief: The gentle stretches and prolonged holds may help to release physical tension and alleviate discomfort, especially for those with chronic pain or stiffness.

Releases Fascia and Improves Circulation: Yin Yoga targets the fascia, the connective tissue that wraps muscles, organs, and bones, helping to release tension and improve the flow of energy and circulation.

Stress Reduction and Anxiety Relief: The slow pace and focus on breath in Yin Yoga can help calm the mind and nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety.

Improved Sleep: By calming the nervous system and reducing stress, Yin Yoga can contribute to better sleep quality.

Emotional Balance: The practice can help release stored emotions and promote emotional equilibrium by addressing energy blockages that can affect our feelings.

Enhanced Self-Awareness: The meditative nature of Yin Yoga allows for a deeper connection with one's body and mind, fostering self-awareness and a greater understanding of one's physical and emotional state.

Most people live a yang lifestyle.  We push and stress ourselves to meet critical deadlines in our careers, often sitting in the same position for hours.  In our home life, we often juggle many hats in order to meet the daily demands of our own families.  Yin Yoga can also help to bring balance to this yang type of lifestyle.

Through yoga, we begin to connect the mind and body by bringing awareness to Self and breath.

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the Self.” – The Bagavad Gita

Reiki, Breathwork, and Sound Healing

Bonafide healers make it clear that we are not the ones doing the healing.  You and your body are doing the healing.  Healers just align themselves with the highest spiritual energies possible and give your body the proper high frequency information it needs to start healing itself and bring itself to homeostasis, the process by which the body regulates its internal environment to maintain balance.

“Even though the body appears to be material, it is not.  In the deeper reality, your body is a field of energy, transformation and intelligence.”
